Wednesday, November 28th. SAHBA members are invited to participate by having a vendor table at the event. Typically, there are approximately 70 vendor participants. Session times are 8:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. You can participate in one or both sessions. Doors will open at 8:00 a.m. for set-up efforts and lunch will be provided during the 1-½ hour break. However, you don't have to stay onsite the entire time. There is no fee to participate and this is an excellent opportunity to meet CACC's trade students, including our NAHB Student Chapter members. A six-foot table and two chairs will be provided for each participant. If you require additional space to present a larger display or to conduct a hands-on activity, your needs can be accommodated.
NAHB Student Chapter has grown to more than 35 members, and we will be holding monthly presentations for the students starting in December 2018. SAHBA also will be seeking other educational opportunities for our student members, such as field trips, job shadowing and end-of-the-school-year internships. We've had success with our previous students securing employment with our members and we hope to continue to expand this trade-industry effort.
If you're interested in giving a 20 to 30-minute presentation to the students, our goal is to schedule one on the first Friday of each month starting December 7th. Class/presentation times are 9:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Let's make our local NAHB Student Chapter amazing! These talented students are our future trade workforce and, hopefully, your future employees!
