For our 147th Chautauqua season, we've streamlined programming and planned a hybrid Chautauqua experience of onsite and virtual activities, all with your safety in mind. Wooden Boat Show & Plein Air Art Festival
Plein Air Art Festival
The Plein Air Art Festival begins Friday, July 17 when 40 plein air artists set up easels across the grounds to paint outdoor landscapes. All are welcome to watch them paint while maintaining 6 feet of social distance.
17th Annual Wooden Boat Show
The Lakeside waterfront will transform into an outdoor showroom of classic wooden boats at the Hotel Lakeside Lawn from 12-4 p.m.  Please note: masks are required at Boat Show and most boats will be showcased on land.
Cookout at Hotel Lakeside Lawn
11 a.m.-3 p.m., Sunday
Ward Catering will provide burgers, grilled chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, ribs, BBQ chicken, mac & cheese, baked beans, watermelon, chips and beverages. Prices range from $1-14.
Plein Air Paintout &
Wet Paint Sale
The Paintout will be held at 12:30 p.m. in Bettinger Park. The Wet Paint Sal e will be south of the Pavilion at 2:30 p.m. Masks required at sale. Only card and check will be accepted this year.
Wally & The Beavs
12-4 p.m., Sunday
Wally & The Beavs return to the Pavilion to provide entertainment during the Lakeside Wooden Boat Show & Plein Air Art Festival. The band performs a variety of popular Motown and classic rock music.

Virtual Show: Ernie Haase + Signature Sound

Lakeside Chautauqua continues its exciting virtual concert series with Ernie Haase + Signature Sound , one of the most popular and beloved quartets in all of Southern Gospel music. The show is free through our Website , Facebook or YouTube .
The Chardon Polka Band
7:30 p.m., Saturday
Saturday's evening music at Steele Memorial Bandstand will feature The Chardon Polka Band as they captivate Lakesiders of all ages with their innovative and colorful spin on polka music.
Lakeside Heritage Society Sale
10 a.m., Saturday
The LHS will be selling pictures, frames, mirrors and miscellaneous gift items at the South Auditorium East Wing. For more treasures, visit the LHS' ongoing sale at 210 Walnut Ave.
August Cup Sailing Race
8 a.m., Saturday
All participants are to meet at Lakevue Marina at 8 a.m. for a skippers’ meeting. The race will start promptly at 9 a.m. Pre-registration is not required, and there is no cost to participate.
CLSC Graduation Ceremony
2:45 p.m., Sunday
The CLSC will hold its 7th Annual Graduation at the Train Station Patio. The goal of all members of the CLSC is to read 12 books from an approved list of books that extends back to the year 1878.
Lakeside Craft & Art Show
Friday & Saturday
Rain or shine, the show will take place from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday and Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday featuring several exhibitors featuring photography, jewelry, home décor and more.
Ol' Creek Road
7:30 p.m., Friday
Join Ol' Creek Road at the Steele Memorial Bandstand for an evening of folk, bluegrass, gospel and country music. The group is dedicated to playing songs that get audiences to smile and tap their feet.
Shuffleboard, Pickleball & Tennis
Lary Faris National Singles Shuffleboard Tournament
The tournament is open to any players (age 16 & older). Sign up at the courts opens at 8:15 a.m. on the first day.
Lary Faris National Junior Singles Shuffleboard Tournament
The tournament is open to any players (age 15 & under). Sign up at the courts opens at 8:15 a.m.
National Doubles Shuffleboard Tournament
This tournament is open to any teams (age 16 & older). Sign up at the courts opens at 8:15 a.m. on the first day.
Pickleball Programs with Carrina de Vera
Sunday & Monday
Elevate your pickleball game with Carrina de Vera , a USAPA teaching pro and Ohio’s first female IPTPA certified pickleball teaching professional. Register for lessons or pickleball clinic here.
All Lakeside Pickleball Tournament
The tournament includes singles and doubles divisions for a variety of skill levels. Players of all ages are welcome to participate.

Tennis Clinic with JoAnne Russell & Steve Vaughan
Clinic sessions will be set up in 75-minute timeslots organized according to skill level; 15 players per session. Registration is $20 per person, per clinic. Register here.

Ward Catering  offers a fresh menu of pre-ordered to-go meals every Thursday. Pre-order by 4 p.m. Wednesday. All meals are individually packaged as “heat-and-eat” refrigerated boxes. Limited quantities available.

American Red Cross
Online Training Courses
This summer, Lakeside Chautauqua is partnering with the American Red Cross to offer online training courses . The courses will rotate each week. This week we're offering Cat & Dog First Aid; Adult First Aid/CPR/AED; Babysitter Basics; and Bloodborne Pathogens. Register here .

Sunset Vespers

This evening service has relocated to the Steele Memorial Bandstand to practice safe social distancing. Features praise music and traditional hymns with John and Bonnie Wilkie.
Miniature Golf Tournament
2 p.m. Thursday
All ages are welcome to play. Prizes awarded according to age groups. Cost to play miniature golf is $3.50/game. In the case of inclement weather, the event is cancelled.
Fitness Classes
A variety of classes are offered to all ages throughout the week. Week 5 classes include: Water Aerobics , All Level Yoga, Chair Yoga and Beach Walk. View descriptions on website or the app .
Ventriloquist Mike Hemmelgarn
7:30 p.m., Wednesday
Comedic juggler and ventriloquist Mike Hemmelgarn returns to Lakeside for an evening of laughs and family fun at the Steele Memorial Bandstand . While some seating is provided in Bettinger Park, guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs and blankets and to practice safe social distancing.

Storybook Walk
Monday & Friday
Families can exercise body and mind as they follow a path through Cherry Park where pages from a hand-picked storybook will be posted at stations along the way. New story every week.
Participants will discover the relevance of God in their lives, enjoy music, meet new friends and compete for candy in games and activities. Coordinated by John and Bonnie Wilkie.
God Squad
This popular children's event features live music with interactive lessons and a fun craft. Coordinated by Chip Richter. Two sessions for different age groups: ages 4-6 and 7-9 .
Children's Church Celebration
9:30 a.m., Sunday
A Children's Church Celebration will begin with an outdoor processional at the conclusion of the Dockside Worship Service (approximately 9:30 a.m. at the Steele Memorial Bandstand) and proceed down Kenton Row and Cedar Avenue to Bradley Temple. The event will end by 10:15 a.m.
