LSO Virtual Events
Although the beloved Lakeside Symphony Orchestra (LSO) season has been postponed until 2021, LSO Artistic Director and Conductor Daniel Meye will lead three virtual programs, providing insight into his love of classical music and allowing Lakesiders to connect with several LSO soloists.
Virtual Violin & Piano Concert
7:30 p.m., Monday
Violinist Isabelle Durrenberger performs a virtual concert accompanied by her father, Christopher.
Virtual LSO Discussion
1:30 p.m., Wednesday
Daniel Meyer and Max Rabinovitsj share insights on the LSO and music from Rabinovitsj's long-standing career as both a violinist and conductor.
Virtual Conductor Discussion
1:30 p.m., Thursday
Daniel Meyer leads a virtual talk about the job of a conductor and highlights the work of famous conductors.

Adelee & Gentry

Performing a polished folk-pop sound, Adelee & Gentry are self-taught singers who captivate audiences with their two-part harmony and unique sound.
Sunset Harmony
6 p.m., Sunday
Acoustic trio Sunset Harmony creates beautiful and unique harmonies to songs you know and love from the 1950s through today and all genres in between.
Lone Raven Trio
7 p.m., Wednesday
Lone Raven Trio specializes in traditional folk music from the Celtic lands, along with their own original compositions.

Moises Borges
Brazilian Jazz Quartet
7 p.m., Friday
Based in Cleveland, Moises Borges is a gifted guitarist and vocalist born in Bahia, Brazil. His soothing voice and charm make for a wonderful evening of entertainment for all lovers of Brazilian Jazz.

Submit recipes for Lakeside Cookbook
The Lakeside Women’s Club (LWC) is compiling a Lakeside Cookbook. Submit your favorite family recipes, vintage recipes from years past, kids’ craft ideas or family traditions. Email your name, phone number, recipe/idea/tradition to Sally DePerro at sallydeperro@hotmail.com or Mame Drackett at mame@drackett.cc. The deadline to submit is Monday, Sept. 7.

Farmers' Market

The bi-weekly Farmers' Market has relocated to the greenspace around the Lakeside Schoolhouse to practice safe social distancing. View hours and safety protocols.
Picnic in Perry Park
5:30 p.m. Wednesday
For at least 20 years, Wednesday evenings have been an exciting day at Lakeside with a special family picnic. This summer’s event will have a few new twists. RSVP to this week's picnic.

New HYBRID programming: onsite & virtual!
Faith for Living Hour Monday-Thursday
This program will be held at the Steele Memorial Bandstand and recorded and uploaded later in the day to our website and YouTube page. The Rev. Dr. Myron F. McCoy’s theme for the week is “Sheep, Shepherding and Staying on the Path.”
Rhein Center Classes
Classes in the fine arts, practical arts and creative arts will be held under the Rhein Center's outdoor tents and virtually. Masks are required for in-person classes regardless of age. Browse available classes for all ages!
LWC Meeting & Program: Stories from the Field
1:30 p.m. Tuesday
Kelly Donithan, Senior Specialist for Disaster Operations at Humane Society International, will share stories from the rescue field. This program will be livestreamed to the LWC Facebook.

Chautauqua Lecture Series

4-7 p.m., Thursday
A group of Lakeside friends and bike riders will be riding 120 miles from Delaware, Ohio to Lakeside, led by Sean Gill. Please join us in welcoming these riders at the Second Street East Gate.

Ward Catering offers weekly to-go meals
Ward Catering offers a fresh menu of pre-ordered to-go meals every Thursday. Pre-order by 4 p.m. Wednesday. All meals are individually packaged as “heat-and-eat” refrigerated boxes. Limited quantities available.
Centering Prayer
8 a.m., Thursday
Start your day at the Hotel Lakeside lawn near the Beebe Memorial Telescope. After a brief devotional reading, we will sit in quiet prayer for 20 minutes, and then offer a time for reflection. For questions, contact Tom Frost at (434) 906-5959.
American Red Cross Online Training
Lakeside is partnering with the American Red Cross to offer online training courses. This week we're offering Water Safety for Parents & Caregivers; First Aid, Health & Safety for Coaches; Adult, Child & Baby First Aid/CPR/AED; and Adult First Aid/CPR/AED. Register here.

Sunset Vespers
8:15 p.m. Sunday
This evening service has relocated to the Steele Memorial Bandstand to practice safe social distancing. Features praise music and traditional hymns with John and Bonnie Wilkie.
Miniature Golf Tournament
2-5 p.m. Thursday
All ages are welcome to play. Prizes awarded according to age groups. Cost to play miniature golf is $3.50/game. In the case of inclement weather, the event is cancelled.
Fitness Classes
A variety of fitness classes are offered to all ages throughout the week. Week 8 classes include: Cardio Strength, Water Aerobics, Chair Yoga, and so much more. View full class descriptions on our website or the app.

Just for KIDS!
Storybook Walk
Monday & Friday
Families can exercise body and mind as they follow a path through Cherry Park where pages from a hand-picked storybook will be posted at stations along the way. New story every week.
Participants will discover the relevance of God in their lives, enjoy music, meet new friends and compete for candy in games and activities. Coordinated by John and Bonnie Wilkie.
God Squad
This popular children's event features live music with interactive lessons and a fun craft. Coordinated by Chip Richter. Two sessions for different age groups: ages 4-6 and 7-9.
Children's Church Celebration
9:30 a.m., Sunday
The Children's Church Celebration begins with an outdoor processional at the conclusion of the Dockside Worship Service (approximately 9:30 a.m. at the Steele Memorial Bandstand) and proceed down Kenton Row and Cedar Ave. to Bradley Temple. The event will end by 10:15 a.m.
