With a foot in traditional American music, Wild Carrot's repertoire branches from award-winning original tunes to swing, and blues to traditional songs.

Ted Yoder Band
7 p.m., Wednesday
The Ted Yoder Band returns to the Steele Memorial Bandstand. His performance style in popular songs has become known as “Yoderizing.”

Helen Welch “Swingin' on Broadway"
7 p.m., Friday
In an encore performance, critically acclaimed vocalist Helen Welch returns to the Steele Memorial Bandstand with her "Swingin' on Broadway" show. This concert features features an array of Broadway songs throughout the decades.

We thank Dan for his service in leading Lakeside through its greatest transitional phase, and as he returns to his position as Lakeside’s CFO/COO, we look forward to his leadership alongside Daniel Rogers and the Lakeside staff as we chart out the next chapter for Lakeside.

The Lakeside Women’s Club (LWC) is compiling a Lakeside Cookbook. Submit your favorite family recipes, vintage recipes from years past, kids’ craft ideas or family traditions. Email your name, phone number, recipe/idea/tradition to Sally DePerro at sallydeperro@hotmail.com or Mame Drackett at mame@drackett.cc. The deadline to submit is Monday, Sept. 7.

Classes in the fine arts, practical arts and creative arts will be held under the Rhein Center's outdoor tents and virtually. Masks are required for in-person classes regardless of age. Browse available classes for all ages!

Ward Catering offers a fresh menu of pre-ordered to-go meals every Thursday. Pre-order by 4 p.m. Wednesday. All meals are individually packaged as “heat-and-eat” refrigerated boxes. Limited quantities available.

Centering Prayer
8 a.m., Thursday
Start your day at the Hotel Lakeside lawn near the Beebe Memorial Telescope. After a brief devotional reading, we will sit in quiet prayer for 20 minutes, and then offer a time for reflection. For questions, contact Tom Frost at (434) 906-5959.

This evening service has relocated to the Steele Memorial Bandstand to practice safe social distancing. Features praise music and traditional hymns with John and Bonnie Wilkie.

Miniature Golf Tournament
2-5 p.m. Thursday
All ages are welcome to play. Prizes awarded according to age groups. Cost to play miniature golf is $3.50/game. In the case of inclement weather, the event is cancelled.

Fitness Classes
A variety of fitness classes are offered to all ages throughout the week. Week 8 classes include: All Level Yoga, Beach Walk, Chair Yoga, and so much more. View full class descriptions on our website or the app.

Children's Church Celebration

Monday-Thursday
Participants ages 10-14 will discover the relevance of God in their lives, enjoy music, meet new friends and compete for candy in games and activities. Coordinated by John and Bonnie Wilkie.

God Squad
Tuesday-Thursday
This children's event features live music with interactive lessons and a fun craft. Coordinated by Chip Richter. As we approach the end of the season, one session will be offered for ages 4-9.
