"The CDE encourages you to recognize October 12–18, 2026, as Week of the School Administrator (California Education Code Section 44015.1). 44015.1. In observance of the importance of educational leadership at the school, school district, and county levels, the second full week in the month of October of each year shall be designated as "Week of the School Administrator". Schools, school districts, and county superintendents of schools are encouraged to observe the week with public recognition of the contribution that school administrators make to successful pupil achievement."

Region 6 is again collaborating with our partner Franklin Covey to present this outstanding course on leadership. The 2-day workshop will be offered on Saturday, November 13 and Saturday, March 20 from 8:30 to 1:00 pm. This professional learning offering is free to ACSA Region 6 members. Light breakfast and lunch will be included. Fee is $50 for non-ACSA members. Please make sure you are able to attend both sessions.

Both certificated and classified leaders will find this training to be relevant and valuable in supporting their leadership roles. We encourage interested participants to attend with colleagues and/or friends to magnify the benefits.

The Region 6 AAPI Administrators Network kicked off year 2 on September 9 at Tanoshi Japanese Bistro for an evening of good food and connectiions. If you are still interested in joining this affinity network, go to this Google Form and sign up. Allies are welcomed!

We have 4 more meetings this school year, two virtual and two in-person. The next meeting is virtual and will feature Chien Wu-Hernandez, Superintendent of Hayward USD as our speaker.
