Giving and Volunteer Opportunities

Put that cookie down! We need volunteers!! 

Thank you so much for continuing to support Happy Wheels! The holiday season is upon us and we are excited! Many of you ask about ways to volunteer and we are thrilled to be able to offer lots of opportunities during the holidays! Please consider including Happy Wheels in your holiday plans this season! 

First on the list is the Holiday Book Drive at Barnes and Noble! Starting November 1st through January 7th, you can purchase books at the register which will be donated directly to Happy Wheels. Both Greenville locations are participating on behalf of Happy Wheels.  B&N on Woodruff Road is also hosting a Book Fair for us on Black Friday.  On this day, a portion of ALL PURCHASES will also be donated to Happy Wheels!!!!!  Wow!  Please pass this information along to others!

MOST IMPORTANTLY! Gift wrapping volunteer shifts will begin Friday, November 25th (Black Friday). We have 56 volunteer spaces to fill! Details and link to sign up below. 

Finally, Giving Tuesday is November 29th!  Giving Tuesday is a social media phenomenon aimed at giving back to local non-profits within your own community.  One day each year (post Black Friday and Cyber Monday), Giving Tuesday is designated for charitable donations nationwide.  Here's what we'd love to see...
  • Donate to Happy Wheels via our website at  www.HappyWheelsInc.org
  • Change your Facebook cover photo to the Giving Tuesday image above. The image can also be found on our social media pages.
  • Share with your friends on your social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook) using the hashtags #givingtuesday #happywheels and #givetillithurts 
Even the smallest of donations, when multiplied by many, are a great help to Happy Wheels.  Please help us by sharing on your pages!

Barnes & Noble!


Many of you partner with us each year for gift wrapping at Barnes & Noble!  We're excited to share that opportunity again this year!  This is a great way to share Happy Wheels with the community, volunteer, raise funds and collect books for Happy Wheels! 

We have a total of 54 volunteer spaces to fill for wrapping as well as two shifts for adults at Woodruff Road to read to kids during our Book Fair day! Bring a friend, sip coffee and give back to local kids.

A Great Way To Donate To Happy Wheels

Amazon Smile is the newest way to donate to Happy Wheels.  Amazon Smile offers almost all of the same items as your regular Amazon shopping experience.  However, when you shop through the Smile program, 0.5% of your purchase will be donated to the charity of your choice.  Click the link below, type "Happy Wheels" in the search bar for charities, choose the Happy Wheels program with the address listed in Lexington, SC and you're all set!  Each time you visit, you should automatically be logged in to shop benefiting Happy Wheels!  You can buy items for yourself, college textbooks OR items that you'd like to donate to Happy Wheels kids!  To donate items directly to Happy Wheels, simply use the following shipping address:

Toy/Book Pickup and Sorting!
It is getting close to the most wonderful time of the year!

 

Christmas is our busiest time of the year. We have books and toys flowing in throughout December and January! During this season, we always need extra help and volunteers.  If you know someone who would like join our volunteer list, please have them fill out the online form  HERE!   They will receive emails such as this one.  When you receive an email and you are available to help, simply reply.  If you are unavailable, simply delete it.  Volunteers participate in events such as toy/book sorting, price tag removing, helping with large toy/book donation pickups, etc.  If you are already on our list, be on the lookout for emails coming your way soon!  

Hospital Volunteering
1 Tuesday Per Month

We are currently recruiting dependable volunteers who can serve with us at Greenville Children's Hospital, pushing the Happy Wheels cart, one Tuesday every month.  You must be at least 18 years old to volunteer within the hospital.  If you are interested in more information, please fill out our volunteer form  HERE!.
