It's Women's

History Month!

Celebrating justice-impacted women during Women's History Month is crucial because it highlights the significant contributions and resilience of women who have been impacted by the criminal legal system. Women, particularly women of color and low-income women, face unique challenges and are disproportionately affected by mass incarceration.

By honoring and uplifting justice-impacted women, we recognize their experiences and struggles and amplify their voices. We also bring attention to the urgent need for reforms in the criminal legal system that address the needs and experiences of women. Celebrating justice-impacted women is a critical step towards creating a more equitable and just society for all women.

The LOHM's 2022 Impact Report

2022 was an amazing year of impact for The LOHM. Our programs supported hundreds of justice-impacted women and their families by providing access to healthy food, safe housing, and over 700 hours of training.

We helped boost careers via scholarship funds, paid $40K in stipends to our P4E Fellows, and graduated 88 women to become certified birth doulas.

For 2023 our vision is still EPIC. We will continue to elevate the voices of our sisters and our relentless work to End Poverty and InCarceration of women and girls globally. Thank you to all of our partners, champions, and participants for supporting our work and believing in our mission.

2022 Impact Report
