HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS AROUND YOU
This our last week of Holiday Celebrations Around You. Thank you for tuning in to learn with us about the traditions of our neighbors. This week, we explore Christmas, Kwanzaa and Ōmisoka with the RCPL children’s librarians and members of the community. The downloadable craft kits and recorded stories for each celebration are on our Kids Page.

Winter Reading Challenge!
Accept the challenge December 2, 2020 through January 9, 2021. This year the whole family (Kids! Teens! Adults!) is invited to accept the Winter Reading Challenge. Visit our Winter Reading Club Window along the right side of the Downtown Library in Parking Lot B on Wednesdays from 3pm - 7pm and Friday & Saturday from 10am - 2pm. Kids and teens get a free book when they join the challenge and finish the Winter Reading Club. Learn More

Dogs love to hear stories! Read to a specially trained dog provided by the Peninsula Humane Society.

The group meets year-round and is open to all non-native English language speakers who are interested in developing their speaking fluency.

  • All Redwood City Public Library locations are currently closed until further notice.
  • Downtown Library bookdrops are open to accept returns. Branch Library bookdrops are open on Curbside Service days. Go here for hours.
  • Curbside Service for picking up holds is available at the Downtown Library, Fair Oaks Branch Library, Redwood Shores Branch Library and Schaberg Branch Library.
  • Our events are online! Check our calendar here.
  • Meeting room reservations are cancelled until further notice.
  • Borrow eBooks and eAudiobooks; use streaming TV, movie, and music services; and access digital subscriptions to newspapers and magazines here.
