The Holidays are Here! Please Remember

C-STEM in Your Giving

We hope you and yours had a wonderful, restful Thanksgiving. We are incredibly grateful for every member of the C-STEM family. Please include our underprivileged and underserved students on your gift list this year if at all possible. Your donations to C-STEM make a direct impact by providing access to STEM, which can change futures. We humbly ask that you continue helping us turn the tide on generations of disparities in STEM education. Here are two simple ways you can help:

1. Donate to C-STEM on Giving Tuesday (It's TOMORROW!)

Please donate to C-STEM this holiday season and encourage your friends, family, and other loved ones to support our organization. Every donation creates a lasting change in the life of a C-STEM Student and Teacher.

2. Donate to C-STEM with your Amazon purchases.

You can help students with the purchases you're already making! When you make purchases through Amazon Smile, a portion will go to the charity of your choice. We'd be. so honored if that was C-STEM!

Flowers Shares Message of Inspiration at Conference Focused on Girls

Earlier this month, C-STEM Founder and CEO Dr. Reagan Flowers spoke as a featured presenter at the Save A Girl, Save A World 12th Annual Weekend Summit in Atlanta. Speaking to the conference theme, “The Power of Dreams 2.0”, Flowers shared about career building and entrepreneurship in the context of STEM.

"Many do not know that the cosmetics field also falls under STEM careers," Flowers said. "There is a need for chemists, biochemists, biologists, physicists, and even Engineers." She spoke about opportunities like designing sustainable packaging, eliminating ingredients that can create health challenges and terminal illnesses, and studying how plant stem cell-based cosmetics can be utilized to improve human skin.

Flowers said the conference as a whole was empowering. "There were so many takeaways shared with the young women such as: how to monetize their gift, how to champion the ideas and dreams of others, being persistent about your passion, mindfulness, mental health and well-being, personal optics, being true to one's self through adversity, valuing your potential and not perfection, and so much more," she said.

Blast from the Past

We enjoy taking you down memory lane and are always hopeful that you spot yourself in a video or image that we share. C-STEM has touched so many lives in communities near and far. It is our hope that this memory places a smile on your face and warms your heart. We are so grateful for every member of the C-STEM family!

This month, we're taking you back to 2018 when we launched our Free Little LIbrary Public Art project. It was such a great collaboration to bring the local Houston community together. We hope you enjoy!
