Now’s the Time: A Call to Reflect, Refocus, and Recommit
Riverbats,
As we stand at the edge of a new academic year, ACC is entering a critical phase of transformation, and your leadership matters more than ever.
We are moving into implementation of the Compensation & Classification Study. Our Theory of Change work is entering an action phase. Student Affairs is reorganizing to better serve students. And across the College, conversations are intensifying about culture, accountability, communication, and leadership.
That’s why your engagement in the Performance Excellence Program (PEP) this season isn’t just expected - it’s essential. PEP is your opportunity to:
- Reflect on how your work aligns with ACC’s evolving mission
- Reinforce expectations and standards of excellence
- Provide clear, honest feedback to those you lead
- Speak to your own growth, priorities, and support needs
There should be no surprises in a PEP conversation. Whether you're giving or receiving feedback, this is your moment to take ownership, name your impact, and chart a path forward.
✅ Employees – Use your self-evaluation to show who you are, how you contribute, and what you’re ready to do next.
✅ Supervisors – Use this time to recognize excellence, clarify expectations, and hold space for meaningful dialogue and accountability.
As Guidehouse’s Classification & Compensation study enters the implementation stage this fall, HR will be partnering with leaders across the College to update job profiles, and, in some cases, reclassify individuals based on the work they perform. If you think your job profile needs updating, now is the time to discuss it with your manager. If your manager is aligned and has not already done so, they should enter a Mojo ticket with the changes required and rationale.
Your HR Business Partner is here to help you prepare, guide conversations, and troubleshoot. We’ve also updated our PEP webpage with tools to support your success.
Excellence isn’t accidental. Let’s use this season to strengthen our teams, center our mission, and prepare to lead in one of the most dynamic chapters of ACC’s history.
In partnership,
Kelly Torrico
