HarborPath President Ken Trogdon meets with Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch

As many state legislatures adjourn for the year, HarborPath is now shifting our focus from advocacy to action, working hand-in-hand with partners across the country to get naloxone and overdose rescue boxes where they're needed most.

Many state lawmakers have worked to increase funding and awareness to save lives, utilizing opioid settlement dollars. We're proud to align with those on the front lines – state departments, universities, nonprofits, and community coalitions - especially in states where overdose rates remain high.

One powerful example of HarborPath’s impact is our partnership with Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch to equip community colleges across the state with naloxone and ODRescue Boxes. This initiative ensures that students and staff have access to life-saving medication in the event of an on-campus overdose emergency. We are committed to expanding this model nationwide to support overdose prevention efforts on campus.

These partnerships would not be possible without the support of our exclusive distributor, FFF Enterprises. With a proven track record and deep logistical expertise, FFF is a national leader in delivering critical care products to patients and healthcare systems across the country.

If your organization is scaling up efforts to expand naloxone access, let’s talk. HarborPath is ready to help deliver real solutions to save lives from fentanyl and opioid overdose.

-Ken Trogdon, President of HarborPath

Vickie Yates Glisson: We have money to fight Kentucky's opioid crisis. Let's not waste it.

"For decades, Kentucky has been on the front lines of the opioid crisis, suffering deeply as addiction, overdose and despair ripped through our communities. But today, for the first time in a generation, we have the tools — and the funding — to finally fight back." Read the full op-ed in the Courier Journal.

Ken's Take: States like Kentucky are receiving millions in opioid settlement funds meant to save lives and build real recovery systems. But too many are letting the money sit or spending it on unrelated needs.

We can’t afford to miss this moment. Funds must go to what works: treatment, naloxone access, and smart public health awareness strategies. Investing these settlement dollars – which cost nothing to taxpayers – in opioid reversal tools and education campaigns is a proven strategy for saving and redeeming lives.

This is our shot. Let’s use it wisely.
