New Beach Parking Signs

You may notice new paid parking signs going up at Millennium Beach Park and Bicentennial Beach Park beginning Monday, September 28.

The City’s beach parking management company is transitioning to a new mobile payment platform for visitors who pay to park. Public Works will be installing new signs at both beach parks with updated payment information.

If you are an Indian Harbour Beach resident who has already registered your vehicle for resident beach parking, you do not need to do anything at this time. Your registration remains valid. This change only affects those using the mobile payment option to pay for beach parking.

IHB residents who have not yet registered their vehicle for resident beach parking can do so at www.parkihb.org.

Information about renewing resident beach parking registrations will be shared beginning in mid-October.

IHB Staff in the Community

City Clerk Nikki Gold, Communications Manager Hilarye Fuller, and Management Analyst Gina Sherman recently attended a half-day Leadership Essentials workshop hosted by the Space Coast Human Resources Association at The Tides.

The workshop featured engaging speakers and sessions focused on leadership, professional growth, and workplace development, providing staff with new ideas and perspectives to bring back to their roles with the City.

And between sessions, the beautiful waterfront view at The Tides wasn’t a bad place to spend the day learning and connecting with other local professionals!

City Clerk Nikki Gold also attended the bi-monthly Brevard County City Clerks Association meeting in Cocoa last week. The meeting included a presentation from the Florida League of Cities (FLC) and provided an opportunity to connect and share information with fellow municipal clerks from across Brevard County.

Police Department News

Police Chief Butler and Corporal Detective Adams recently participated in interviews for an upcoming true crime documentary featuring a case involving the Indian Harbour Beach Police Department.

The interviews provided an opportunity to revisit the investigation and share insight into the department’s role in the case. A national television production crew was on-site to conduct the interviews and capture footage for the documentary.

More information will be shared as it becomes available.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Indian Harbour Beach Police Department at 321-773-3030 or email Chief Butler at dbutler@indianharbourbeach.gov
