Dear Friends,

Look for us this Sunday in the Town and Country Fair parade! Hard to believe it is this time of year already. The milder temperatures have been great for continued projects in yards and gardens.
And speaking of gardens… FALL VEGGIES ARRIVED TODAY! They look fantastic. So if the spring rains and flooding have you discouraged, it is the perfect time to hit this fall season of gardening.

Stop by and visit…..

Late Summer-Fall Veggies text with pictures of quick growing vegetables
As we move into late summer, there are still many opportunities for vegetable gardening. Remove spent summer varieties or prepare a new garden section for quick growing crops and cool season vegetables. Beets, greens, summer squash, radishes, carrots and beans are all quick crops that you can plant from seed now and harvest in a short time. Choose from the great selection of Botanical Interests garden seeds in our Garden Center. Check the seed packets and choose varieties that have fewer days to harvest.
You can also plant cool season vegetable varieties soon. Broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, cauliflower, collards, kale, spinach and kohlrabi are all crops that like cool weather and can be grown in fall. You can find seeds for these veggies in our garden seed section.
If you just can't wait to get plants growing, our first shipment of fall vegetable plants just arrived! We now have various types of lettuce, broccoli, cabbage, Swiss chard, spinach, and kale plants! It's still early; more shipments will arrive with more varieties through mid fall!
