Hardpoint’s Brady Behrman Scores Three Podium Finishes In Team, Track Debut at Mid-Ohio

Behrman Drove the No. 428 TradeCentric/Hardpoint Porsche 911 GT3 Cup to Three International GT Podiums Last Weekend

LEXINGTON, Ohio (June 29, 2022) – Brady Behrman made an impressive debut as the newest Hardpoint team member, driving the No. 428 TradeCentric/Hardpoint Porsche 911 GT3 Cup to three podium finishes in International GT competition in his opening weekend with the team. Behrman is completing the International GT season under the Hardpoint banner.

“Hands down, this was the best weekend I've ever had racing,” Behrman said. “It was great to roll out in the newly rebranded TradeCentric/Hardpoint Porsche and be up front all weekend. I was relaxed, even at speed, motivated, and engaged to excel. It was contagious across the team and it showed in the paddock and on track. The team feeling was nothing short of united!”

Following two practice sessions on Thursday and a pair of timed qualifying sessions on Friday, Behrman jumped into the action with a runner-up finish in the first 15-minute Sprint race of the weekend on Saturday morning. That race saw him score second in the 12-car GT3.8 class of the Mission Foods GT3 Cup Trophy and seventh overall.

“My co-driver Coby Shield had the fastest lap of the weekend in our class on his 12th lap of his single Thursday practice stint,” Behrman said. “it was my first time at Mid-Ohio, and he gave me something to chase all weekend. “It was a tremendous help to me to gain time each and every outing, along with reviewing data, talking through mistakes and improving execution.”

He followed that up with yet another trophy, this time a third-place finish, later on Saturday afternoon. Behrman closed on the second-place car with his fastest lap of the race after the white flag, using a run out of the carousel final corner to pull alongside, but not quite past, his rival at the checkered flag.

Saturday morning’s 60-minute enduro made Behrman three for three in podium finishes in his maiden weekend with Hardpoint. Behrman shared the car with co-driver Coby Shield during the race, which included a mandatory five-minute pit stop per championship regulations. Behrman and Shield drove a mistake-free race to earn third-place.

Behrman’s successful weekend came while Hardpoint was racing in three separate championships at two different race tracks on the same weekend for the first time. The No. 99 GridRival Porsche 911 GT3 R was driven by Rob Ferriol, Katherine Legge and Stefan Wilson in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship at Watkins Glen International, with Nick Galante and Sean McAlister in the Michelin Pilot Challenge No. 22 Racing To End Alzheimer’s Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport also in upstate New York.

“We were integrated at the core, just like TradeCentric,” Behrman said. “TradeCentric is the Business-To-Business commerce integration platform that accelerates business with enterprise automation for buyer and supplier transactions, and Hardpoint is the racing platform that accelerates drivers, equipment and support to excel in sportscar racing! It was synergies across the board. We were there to win and have fun, and we did that. Not the P1 that we were gunning for, but a P2 and twin P3’s and it’s a huge success. It’s a big win for the team and future in my book, the first time out together.”

Behrman and the International GT field have a “summer break” before returning to action at Watkins Glen International on September 7 – 11. Hardpoint’s IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge team will run at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park this weekend, July 1 – 2, in a two-hour race north of the border.
