Hays-Heighe House was once the manor house for Prospect Hill Farm and the headquarters of Robert and Ann Heighe’s thoroughbred horse breeding and training facility. View recently digitized “home movies” of the farm, their horses, and race tracks on the Eastern Seaboard from the 1930s and 1940s.

Take a Hike!

Cooler weather is upon us, but it’s still nice enough to get out on a beautiful fall day and check out our two hiking and mountain biking trails! The trails are open from sunrise to sunset and provide an easy to moderate hike with a few steep sections.

Entrances to the west campus trails are at Prospect Mill Park, HCC’s Observatory, and the corner of Thomas Run Road and Jacob's Well. East campus trails can be accessed from J Lot North at Joppa Hall and Hickory Center, by HCC’s Science Pond near the A Lot, and at the intersection of Graduate Drive and Cross Campus Drive . Hiking and mountain biking only.
