Chesapeake Gallery

The Chesapeake Gallery welcomes two artists from the Baltimore-Washington area. Their work deals with issues of racism in our country, as well as current and historical events surrounding the African American experience. Both artists create in a variety of mediums, including performance, drawing, sculpture, digital, fiber, installation, and photography. Images and videos can be viewed on our Facebook page and website.

Pearson VUE Testing
Center Reopens

The Pearson VUE Testing Center at HCC's Edgewood Hall officially reopens on Thursday, October 1. Hours will be Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 a.m,-3 p.m., and first and third Saturdays each month, 10 a.m.-3 p.m. To make an appointment to take an exam, visit the Pearson VUE website. Approximately 100 different exams are administered by the Pearson VUE Testing Center, including GED, CompTIA exams, NREMT, and Cisco. Learn more here.

Adult Literacy Staff

Digital literacy is a vital skill needed now like never before. Kudos to Adult Literacy staff (l-r) Rhonda Davis, Vidya Kausik, Amanda Walstrum, and Jessie Thompson for their contributions to the state's Digital Literacy Framework and Implementation Guide for Adult Learners, which are now published on the Adult Education and Literacy Services section of the Maryland Department of Labor’s website for use across the state in the delivery of adult literacy services.
