KEYE CBS News Austin Allison Miller and John-Carlos Estrada visted Harmony Science Academy-Austin to read books and celebration Read Across America Week.
Gary T., a Harmony School of Excellence senior, crafted a dactyl keyboard through the magic of 3D printing and hard work for his Project Based Research course. His emphasis was on recreating his version of the famous ergonomic keyboard. His objective was to maximize the efficiency in the interactions between humans and their daily activities, a task that he plans to explore further once he attends college to major in the medical field.
Smaya, a second-grade student at Harmony Science Academy-Cedar Park, wrote a poem that was chosen as one of the Top 10 Winners out of thousands of entries across the nation in the Poetic Power competition. Read all about her accompishments and her poem at TexasInsider.com.
