SAN ANTONIO – Harmony Public Schools South Texas District has named Mr. Klediol Murati as the inaugural principal of the new San Antonio Harmony School of Science campus. The campus, once completed in the fall of 2022, will be a PreK through sixth grade campus. Mr. Murati is moving to the new campus from his recent post at Harmony Science Academy, a sixth through 12th grade school, where he served as principal since the 2017-2018 school year.

He got his start with Harmony Public Schools nearly 15 years ago in the Dallas/Fort Worth district. During his time in the Dallas area, he served as mathematics and social studies teacher, as well as an ESL, GT, special education, STEM coordinator and college counselor. In his final years in the DFW area, he served as an assistant principal, dean of academics and as a principal.
 
Mr. Murati then made a move to the Houston South district where he served as a principal at the Harmony Beaumont campus for five years prior to making a move to the South Texas District to serve as a high school principal at Harmony Science Academy - San Antonio, prior to the 2017-2018 school year. The South Texas District consists of eight campuses: three in San Antonio, three in Laredo and two in Brownsville.
 
“We were looking for a strong and experienced principal to open our new campus, lead new teachers and Mr. Murati has a wealth of both academic and administrative experience to help meet the needs of the new campus. His diverse experience and warm personality make him a good fit,” said Mr. Selcuk Bakir, South Texas District, Area Superintendent.
 
Mr. Murati comes from a family of educators, who also served in leadership roles, additionally, he is married to an educator, and he is a proud father of two young boys.
 
“I am looking forward to meeting the new scholars and families. I am committed to leading by example to improve our students' learning environment and I enjoy collaborating with parents, staff and community to build a better future for our children," said Mr. Murati. I believe all students can excel when we give them the right support and believe in them,” he added.
