Harnessing Your Community's People Power

At the National League of Cities Congressional City Conference in Washington this week there was both anxiety about budget cuts and hope for the future. Said League President Matt Zone, Cleveland City Councilman, to the participants: "Your vision, experience and leadership is helping to transform cities into centers of innovation, growth and economic opportunity for all our residents." With the upcoming budget cuts, it's going to be even more important for cities to partner with residents and businesses to keep making progress on critical issues.
