Ahh, the joy of discovery. I forgot I planted snowdrops last fall and today I was surprised. What a treat. Any others have some?

A Common Loon snacking on a crab. I was looking for seals but happy to have captured this!

Love is in the air! These romantic House Finches remind us that spring is drawing near. House Finches begin to pair up within flocks as early as January. Like most birds, the males have the more colorful bird suits, with red feathers on their top half and brown striped pants on the bottom. So adorable!

We enjoyed seeing the seals at Seal Ledge, Devil's Back in a new "formation" today. Most of them were at the south end of the big ledge today, with some Buffleheads diving in the background!
