Dear friends in Christ,

We do not live to ourselves,

and we do not die to ourselves.

If we live, we live to the Lord,

and if we die, we die to the Lord;

so then, whether we live or whether we die,

we are the Lord’s. (Romans 14:7-8)

It is with grief that we say that Harry Perry can now claim the fullness of these verses. He lived in the Lord; he has died in the Lord. On Sunday morning (when we celebrate the Resurrection!) Harry left his earthly body behind and eagerly joined the welcome in his heavenly Father's house--and received the promised resurrection for himself! Harry's days on this earth were full of trust in the Lord who still cares for him, and this gives us great comfort: his trials on this earth now ended, Harry has obtained the rest stored up for all who hope in God.
