Hart Families and Friends,

Tomorrow is a big day for our students as they celebrate the holidays with class parties, Thank you to all of our room parents and volunteers for making this a special time for our kiddos.

In addition to the class parties, our Annual Reflection's Assembly will begin tomorrow at 8:15 in the cafeteria. We will recognize our PTA Reflections participants, along with those students who received awards. We will also announce the students who will be moving on to the next level of competition, Please join us if you had a student participate in the contest.

Our assembly will begin tomorrow at 8:15 in the cafeteria. We will kick things off with a few songs performed by our choir and then they will lead the students in a holiday sing along. Following the choir performance, we will present the Reflections awards, and will end with our special gift from the staff to the students.

Due to the weather, the ground around the school is damp. To prevent anyone from parking in the wet grass, and getting stuck in the mud, we have arranged for a shuttle from WSMS beginning at 10:15. They will make their first run to Hart at 10:30. The bus will also return parents (and their kiddos) to WSMS after the class parties. We will begin our first run at 11:45 to get a jump start before the rest of our buses arrive. We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Message from the Nurse

NEW! ILLNESS

Currently we are seeing some strep (some are not having fever or sore throat but are presenting with stomach virus like symptoms), a short lived stomach virus lasting 12-24 hours causing vomiting and diarrhea, and a cold like virus causing fever, diarrhea, nausea/vomiting, body aches, cough, sinus congestion and headache (some are not experiencing all of these symptoms) which is lasting about 3-5 days and seems to be worse around day 2-3.

Please remember, if your little ones have had diarrhea, fever greater than 100 (without medications), or vomiting they must be out of school for a full 24 hours so that we can help keep protect others.

Thank you for your cooperation!

Counselor's Corner

As the New Year approaches and many of us begin discussing our resolutions, I am beginning to prepare to discuss the concept of goal setting with our students. They may be in turn discussing this at home as we move through January in our new semester.  Please feel free to ask them if they have set goals, or are thinking about them.

Happy Holidays to all of you and your families. May your New Year bring you lots of cheer. See you next year.

Sincerely,

Ms. Kennaugh
