Message from the Principal
Lacey Moser

Dear Hart Families,

Happy last day of school!  We thank you for an amazing school year! It has been exciting celebrating our fourth grade class this week. They truly are an amazing group of students and we look forward to seeing all they will accomplish as they leave us and move to Sloan Creek. Thank you to our amazing 4th grade teachers and parents that made this week extra special for them!

Our students have pledged to read 4,540 books this summer as part of our Summer Read program.  Ms. Hart has worked with each class to set up their avatar and many students have already made the leaderboard.  Click here to log your books this summer.  If we meet our goal, Ms. Ross and I will head up in a hot air balloon!

During the weeks of June 11, June 18, July 9, and July 16, the office will be open on Tuesday and Thursday from 1:00-3:00 for students to check out leveled reading books. This is a great way for students to be able to choose a couple of books each week and practice reading on their level.  There will be a few Math games and activities available for check out as well.  Be on the lookout for more information in my next principal message.

FC Leopard Indoor Summer Soccer
Two Lovejoy parents, Abby Gray and Dan Murphy, are forming a Lovejoy 4th Grade girls indoor soccer team. The idea of the team is for girls with a similar interest in soccer to get to know each other and have fun. The goal is to have a team of girls from Lovejoy, Hart and Puster Elementary Schools. Basic information follows:
  • 1-2 practices at the beginning of the season to understand the rules and get to know other players
  • 8 total games, 45 minutes long, no playoffs, no trophies - just having some fun, getting some exercise, and getting to know other girls
  • It's indoor at PSA Murphy so it will always bright and air-conditioned. Games are from June 2nd through August 12th
  • Fast-paced, non-stop action. The clock never stops and the substitutions are real time
  • Since we will not be having practices, we are looking for girls who have played soccer within the last year
  • Both recreational and competitive players are welcome
For additional information, please contact Dan Murphy at murpdj72@gmail.com or Abby Gray at abbybauer@hotmail.com .
