Family Science Night is Tuesday next week, April 3rd, from 6:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. here at Hart!
Message from the Principal
Lacey Moser

Hart Family and Friends,

Thank you to all the dads who showed up for Donuts with Dads the last two mornings.  It was a packed house and the Max's Donuts were delicious!  Thank you to PTA, and specifically Marc Sherrin, for all of his work setting up this amazing event.  We look forward to welcoming all moms in May at Muffins for Mom.

Next Tuesday, our 4th graders will take the Writing STAAR (State of Texas Assessment of Academic Readiness).  Our 4th graders are ready and our teachers are excited for their students to show all that they have learned!  To ensure a secure testing environment the state requests we keep the building free of visitors. So, no visitors will be allowed on this day.

Don't forget to vote today and tomorrow for Mrs. Goff.  She is still sitting in 6th place so today and tomorrow are our last chance to get her into the top 5!

We hope everyone enjoys their long weekend!

With a Full HeART,
Lacey Moser

Library News!

BATH TUB!

Our library bathtub needs some updating! If you like to spray paint, sometime this spring, we would love for someone or a small group, to repaint this favorite reading spot!

Please email Suzanne Hart (suzanne_hart@lovejoyisd.net) if you would be willing to take this on.

PLEASE BE AWARE OF WHERE YOU ARE PARKING

Please be aware that there are a few parking spots at Hart that are reserved for a specific purpose. We have one reserved for our Little Leopards group (in the South lot). We also have one spot reserved in the front of the school for our PTA volunteer of the month, and lastly one spot that is purchased in our Denim and Diamonds Auction every year. Please be courteous and avoid parking in a reserved spot unless it belongs to you this year. Thank you for helping us honor those special spots.
Message from the Nurse:

We are currently seeing strep throat and allergy symptoms. There is also a virus that is lasting approx. 2-3 days-predominate symptoms seem to be fever, nausea/vomiting, and slight to moderate sore throat. We have not seen any diagnoses of flu recently.

We ask that children be free from fever without medicine, diarrhea, or vomiting for 24 hours before returning to school to prevent illnesses from spreading. Fever is considered 100.0 or greater.

If your child is absent from school, written documentation is needed. Please email Alis_Brantl@lovejoyisd.net and Heather_Bouska@lovejoyisd.net with the date and reason for the absence. Thanks for all you do at home to keep your children healthy and in school.

Please refer to the Lovejoy ISD web site under Hart Campuses / Departments / Clinic for more info. about the flu.

The Foundation is funded primarily from Annual Appeal and the Denim and Diamonds (D&D) Gala and Auction.
