Message from the Principal
Lacey Moser

Dear Hart Families,

During the last week of school, we invite all families to a drive-through pick up/drop off of materials. Your child's teacher will be bagging up any materials your child has in their desk, cubby, or classroom. During your child's scheduled time, you will drive through the front of Hart and we will deliver the bag to your vehicle. This is also an opportunity to drop off any checked out technology or library books. You can also drop off materials for Reading Intervention, Dyslexia, or readers or books from the classroom. Your child's teacher will also be there for a final wave, air hug, etc. as you drive through.

Parent Input Form for the 2020-2021 school year
Your child's current grade level teachers, along with GT teachers, special education teachers, Reading interventionist, Dyslexia teacher, counselor, principal, and assistant principal come together to create class lists for the next year. We use your input, along with your child's current classroom teacher and any other staff that may work with your child, to place your child in the teacher's classroom that would be the best fit. We also ensure that there is a balance of boys and girls and the make-up of the classroom (mix of students) creates the best environment conducive to teaching and learning. Please click here to complete the form.
Learning with your Librarian
Hello Parents!

I am excited to announce that there will be an opportunity for your child to listen to a story being read aloud by one of our K-6 librarians Monday through Friday at noon. We will be reading a picture book Monday through Thursday, then we will be sharing the first chapter of a picture book for First Chapter Friday. The Zoom link for our daily storytime will be sent out weekly through your student's SeeSaw or Google Classroom.

Monday - Mrs. Emory - Puster-  The Litte Red Fort
Tuesday - Mrs. Dawson - Lovejoy -  The Hair of Zoe Fleefenbacher Goes to School
Wednesday - Mrs. Hart - Hart -  Nobody Hugs a Cactus
Thursday. Mrs. Stewart - Sloan Creek -  Happy Dreamer
Friday - All librarians- First Chapter Friday -  Nightbooks

We also have been working on an amazing website that is now available as an extension opportunity! The Leap into Libraries website will provide books that are read aloud online with accompanying activities. Also on this site are MakerSpace activities with items that you have at home as well as author lead activities. I am linking the site below and it is also available on the Leap into Learning District site.

The K-6 Library Team and I are so very excited to provide these resources and read alouds for your students!

Happy Reading!
