Lacey Moser
Dear Hart Families,

One of my favorite events is Open House. Typically this is a time for students to walk parents through specially chosen pieces of work that highlight all of their hard work. Even though we can’t come together in the traditional sense, we wanted to give our students an opportunity to showcase their learning through a virtual Open House. Teachers are working with students to choose the best artifacts that spotlight all of their hard work and learning this year. Throughout next week, students will share posts on these artifacts through SeeSaw. This is also a great opportunity for you to join in the fun by liking, commenting on, and celebrating your child’s accomplishments!

Don't forget to wear your pajamas tomorrow!

As always, please feel free to contact me.

With a Full HeART,
Lacey Moser

NEW!!! Library News
Read Across America
It’s that time of year! READ ACROSS AMERICA!

Each year we celebrate this fun week of reading at Hart. We are excited to share the love of reading with everyone and incorporate some fun dress up days, exciting activities, and special interactive reading books. The interactive books tie in to the themes about reading!

Just this week, we removed the photos of the students reading with their pets from last year. We left this display up because the kids love looking at all the pictures of students reading. We need your help to FILL that wall with pictures again! The picture can be a photo (any size), of students reading in their favorite place, with their favorite people, with their pets or stuffed animals, or whatever shows the love for reading! Pictures can be turned in anytime! Due to limited printing, only virtual students may email a photo to Mrs. Hart, suzanne_hart@lovejoyisd.net

Q4 Learning Environment
NEW!!!! HeART Inspired
Mrs. Meaders- Mrs Meaders’s love, passion & excitement is so strong, that my daughter brings it home with her. Anytime I ask about her day, she has a story to tell me about Mrs Meaders. Thank you Mrs Meaders for showing my daughter how much you care for her, how much you love school & how important she is to your class. Thank for checking in on her during her quarantine. She felt very special! L.H

Mrs. Grall- Mrs. Grall might be the best music teacher EVER! My son is working virtually and her online teaching is fantastic. The energy she brings to each week is nothing short of amazing. My son and I enjoy participating in the activities and also laugh a lot too. Thank you! Music brings people together and even though we are home, Mrs. Grall makes my son feel like he is amongst many. #Grateful#Bestmusicteacherever B. Olsen

Mrs. Grall- just wanted to share with you what an impact you have on your virtual learners (and siblings). Ashton (and his littlest brother, Lyndon) LOVE your music lessons and look forward to them each week. You have a way of engaging them virtually, which I’m sure is not always the easiest of tasks. I also want to add how much I appreciate your comments on each one of Ashton’s turned in assignments. He lights up and gets a great big smile on his face while listening to your comments just knowing that you have taken the time to look at/watch his work. He hears your excitement on the voice comments and it really makes him feel so proud. I hope the video I’ve attached will play just so you can see how much fun they have. If not, just know that all of your hard work is very much enjoyed.- M.G.

LISD Music Specialists-Just wanted to brag on our music specialists for a minute. We received some great feedback from one of our families at Hart who happen to have in-person and at-home learners (and other small children who participate, too!). They were very generous in their words of support for our music lessons and content each week, and she gave me permission to share this video. So thankful for all of the effort in our music team. Mrs. Moser

We know EVERY staff member can offer a HeART Inspired moment, though we may not always hear about it. Who are our unsung heroes? Has a Hart teacher or staff member inspired your child/family? We want to hear about it! Parents, community members, staff members and students are welcome to share by completing this form. We will recognize the teacher or staff member in future principal emails!

UPDATED! Queen/King of Hart
Due to the inclimate weather, Queen/King of Hart sales have extended. The last day to purchase hearts will be Friday, February 26 between 7:30 a.m -7:55 a.m. The winner will be crowned after announcements on Friday, February 26.

Students can purchase hearts for the teacher and/or staff member they would like to see crowned as King or Queen of Hart! Small hearts are sold for $1.00 each, medium hearts are sold for $5.00 each, and large hearts are sold for $10.00 each. Votes will correlate with the dollar amount of the heart purchased. $1.00 heart equals 1 vote, $5.00 heart equals 5 votes, and $10.00 heart equals 10 votes.

Working with Weathermatic and Living Water International the funds raised will be used to build a well. The well will be dug in a community in Central America, India or Africa and will provide the citizens with clean water. This effort falls directly under the Lovejoy ISD Graduate Profile of Works for Justice in the Community.  The Lovejoy graduate has experienced the satisfaction of giving and service. She/He has learned through service projects to comprehend the abstract ideas of justice and community. The student has begun to appreciate the need to couple ethical thinking with ethical action. Ultimately, the Lovejoy graduate has learned to respond in love and service to those in need and now strives to move beyond self-interest in relationships with others.

Our goal last year was to raise $1000.00. We were struck by the overwhelming generosity of Hart students and families, we raised $ 3569.00!!!!

Please help support a great cause and crown a teacher/staff member King or Queen of Hart!!!
Updated!!! Art to Remember

HES Clinic News
Please remember to copy Nurse Alli on any illness related absence emails. If your student is absent due to not feeling well (any symptom listed on the Covid Symptom Exclusion Letter) you must provide a doctor return upon their return to school prior to the 10 day isolation period. Also please remember, if your student has a member of the household who is awaiting COVID-19 test results, or who is awaiting their own test results, those students must be kept home until you have the test results. Thank you!

We have seen a rise in strep throat along with allergies due to the recent mountain cedar rise and windy days we have experienced. There is also a stomach virus that seems to have surfaced as well. Predominant symptoms of this virus seem to be stomach ache, headache, and diarrhea. The symptoms seem to be lasting approximately 24 hours for most without fever.
