Has Your Compliance Program Had a Checkup Recently?
Did you know that the Federal Sentencing Guidelines (often used when assessing sanctions for violations of the False Claims Act or Anti-Kickback Statute) indicate that you should periodically evaluate the effectiveness of your organization’s compliance program? Additionally, the Office of the Inspector General’s (OIG) Compliance Program Guidance for Hospitals states that programs should be reviewed at least annually to ensure compliance elements are satisfied.
