A message from the Hebrew Director
Shalom to the wonderful Yavneh families. For those who didn’t meet me yet – my name is Yael Karmi, and I am the new Hebrew Director in Yavneh. It has been truly a pleasure to meet this engaged community of learners and to get to know our dedicated teachers and excited students... Since 2019 I have served as the of Head of the Los Gatos campus of Beged Kefet Hebrew School. I wrote curricula, mentored, trained, and supported teachers in their work, and I’m very fortunate to bring this experience to Yavneh Read more

PJ Gives Back: Park Cleanup Day, 11/21 @ 2:00 pm
Biebrach Park, 450 W. Virginia St., San Jose
Thanksgiving is a great prompt to remind ourselves and our kids about Jewish values of gratitude and Tikkun Olam, repairing the world. Starting with some PJ stories and moving into trash pickup, this event will give us a concrete "mitzvah" to help others. Disposable gloves, trash bags and "grabbers" will be provided by our partner, the anti-Litter Program of City of San Jose. RSVP
PJ Library is YOUR community! This year, in addition to 2 great community-wide Hanukkah events, we invite you to make a personal connection with another PJ family in your geographic area. We suggest you meet up - outside - on 11/29 or 11/30. You might choose a park, your driveway, or another creative location. Please prepare a kosher-style batch of Hanukkah cookies of your own design, as well as a homemade art project to gift to your buddy family. Deadline to register is 11/16. Participants will receive their buddy info by 11/22. Please send us pictures of your "Happier Together" time! Sign up as a Hanukkah Buddy Family
