Message from the Head of School
In late June, on my way to a conference, I stopped in St. Louis to visit Elaine, mother of Angela Gold - our beloved songleader/music teacher of blessed memory. Arriving on a redeye flight, I had a few hours to pass, so I found a Starbucks that opened early and parked myself on a couch to work. During those few hours, I witnessed what felt like the most Jewish Starbucks on the planet. Twenty or thirty customers settled in all around me, talking “Jewish”: debates about Israel, synagogues and kosher caterers, discussions about health and about recent passings. Yavneh Day School invites our entire community to get together before school starts to see old friends and make new ones. Pancakes will be provided. Bring your own drinks, coffee, and vegetarian breakfast picnics. The picnic will be held at Oak Meadow Park, Picnic Area #1 and #2.

Family Sunday Swim Days at the JCC
Upcoming dates: 7/21, 8/4, 8/18, 12:00-3:00pm
The JCC offers Family Sunday Swim Days twice a month during the summer, with the entire pool dedicated to recreational family swim from 12-3pm. We'll remove all the lane lines to create one big swimming area (except for one lane reserved for lap swimming). Free for Full Center Members and Social Members. Non-members pay $30 per family (up to 5 people). More info
