Hast Thou Faith??? 2/4/24
Romans 4:3 (KJV)
3 For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.
Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
“WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM (God)”
It is easy to “BELIEVE GOD” when things are easy, the burden is light, and one “sees the light at the end of the tunnel.”
BUT, what if Goliath stands before you or the fire is seven times hotter than ever before??
1 Samuel 17:41-44 (KJV)
41 And the Philistine came on and drew near unto David; and the man that bare the shield went before him.
42 And when the Philistine looked about, and saw David, he disdained him: for he was but a youth, and ruddy, and of a fair countenance.
43 And the Philistine said unto David, Am I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.
44 And the Philistine said to David, Come to me, and I will give thy flesh unto the fowls of the air, and to the beasts of the field.
Daniel 3:19-21 (KJV)
19 Then was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.
20 And he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.
21 Then these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
NOW/TODAY we KNOW the wonderful and glorious outcome of these men.................
But what about BEFORE/THEN/WHEN-NOT IF.......................................
Again, it good-even great-to praise the Lord AFTER the battle is won!!!!!
I have had the HONOR of standing over countless caskets and visiting unlimited hospital beds in my life and ministry-even family including my own children.
Again, I have often remarked:
MINOR illness is when it happens to YOU..............
MAJOR illness is when it happens to ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And yes, why is it that your auto mechanic drives a run down/barely running car and the carpenter lives in a run down shack-YET, is a wonderful mechanic and carpenter for YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Romans 14:22 (KJV)
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.
“HAST THOU FAITH? HAVE IT TO THYSELF BEFORE GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
HOW does one find/obtain FAITH for THYSELF????????????????/
Romans 10:17 (KJV)
17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Revelation 12:11 (KJV)
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
I have heard MANY sermons on the necessity of the “Blood of the Lamb,” AND “by the word of their testimony” BUT few, if any on:
“THEY LOVED NOT THEIR LIVES UNTO DEATH!!!”
SELAH-THINK ABOUT THIS!!!
Abraham was asked to sacrifice his own son, and the three Hebrews were ordered to bow and worship the pagan god-OR ELSE!!!!!!!!!!!!
YET THEY BELIEVED GOD!!!!!!!!!!

Now beloved, THAT is FAITH!!!!!!!!!!!! Being WILLING to serve God REGARDLESS of the outcome! Going where no man or woman has ever gone before......................
Going/doing-NOT knowing the outcome.
Going/doing because one has to.
Risking one's very life and future to an uncertain outcome-BUT GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!
