Pool Closes for the Season Aug. 28


The Hastings Family Aquatic Center will close for the season on Sunday, August 28th. Enjoy the final days of the pool.

Basketball Court Resurfacing Finished


Basketball court resurfacing at Pioneer, Wilson, Cari, Cannon and Tuttle parks is complete and the courts are open for play. 

Special Rate Offered for Mattresses


Do you have a mattress to get rid of? Certified Recycling is offering a special pickup rate for Dakota County residents through Labor Day (Sept 5) for any type of mattress or box spring. Instead of going to the landfill, the metal, wood and cloth from the mattresses are used for new products.

BONUS: Quality beds are donated to Bridging MN.

Overdose Awareness Event Aug. 30


The 2nd Annual International Overdose Awareness Day will be held in Hastings on Tuesday, August 30th, with a public event at 7 p.m. at the top parking deck of the Confluence. All are welcome to attend. Learn about the widespread use of illicit fentanyl, how young people get it, why that's a problem, and what you can do to raise awareness of this deadly substance. Remember the lives of those lost in our community, and rise a light in their memory. Resource tables will be available.

Bird Scooters 


The Bird electric scooters around town are not currently functioning due to a staffing change. Once a new fleet manager is hired to manage the scooters in Hastings, they will be up and operating. The company's current contract runs through the end of this year.

Makers Alleyway Market

4:00 - 8:00 p.m.

Alleyway north of 2nd St., downtown near Levee Park


This will be our largest market with 25 vendors and our last market of the season! Support area makers and artisans within our historic downtown and riverfront park by shopping at the market.  


We anticipate vendors will be selling a variety of goods including custom artwork, craft beer samples, custom jewelry, soy wax candles, fresh florals and décor, home décor, novelties and fabric goods.

Minneapolis Commodores is an A Capella Swing group! Their full quality sound combined with colorful costumes and entertaining stage play make any Commodore production a truly memorable experience. Singing a cappella harmony in 4-part barbershop style!


Music in the Park is free to the public and supported by the Ruth and George Doffing Charitable Fund.
