Hats off to August and CoWorking Month! It’s official. We made it to our favorite month of the year. It is the one where we honor our members, our great team and the joys of coworking. We are better when we cowork and collaborate, especially in a pandemic. The challenge of 2020 is, of course, how do we celebrate and keep our workspaces compliant with CDC guidelines? Well, check out this calendar and see that we have accomplished this with some of the best educational and community events we have ever assembled.
We kick-off coworking month with a
HATS OFF giveaway! That’s right, starting today members can stop in and receive an OC baseball cap, while supplies last. It’s double referral month, so if any of your friends or family sign a new agreement in August, we'll pay you twice the referral rewards. Any member who leaves us a google review gets a $10 Culvers gift card and is entered into a drawing for a $100 cash prize each week. Tell us why you love working with us and I’ll buy you lunch or an ice cream! This Dilly of a Month ends with a pre-wrapped DQ treat. Not to worry, we'll hand out with all necessary precautions.
To celebrate coworking, we're featuring presentations from our community members that include a seminar by Anne Pryor where she will (literally) paint us a picture of how to open our creative minds and Zaylore Stout will lead a timely discussion on how we can be more inclusive in our workspaces and lives. Look for Whizkids to teach us how to use Microsoft Teams and much, much more from Judy Zimmer, Ben Theis, Amy Lokken and Robert Sicora!
Other events include a Scottie Miller Happy Hour, two chances to update your business headshot, a Speed Networking event and, as always, BlackJack Friday. This month, all players receive an OC face mask and a chance to BEAT the DEALER live via Zoom (that would be me!) And, take a look at our OneCommunity partner events: The Randy Shaver Virtual Rush to the Gala and Virtual 5K and the Jesus in the City Fishing for Life Tournament. Last, but certainly not least, we are showcasing members who have a special for our community. This is a new idea and the first time we reached out to our community to promote a business special. I’m excited to see how this works. If you are interested in supporting other members of our community, and getting some great deals too, see the specials below!
I feel it's necessary for me to address the new state mandate, with regard to masks being required in all public indoor spaces and businesses. In accordance with this mandate, I am asking all members to please wear your mask when you enter or exit our space or any time you move through common areas. Masks are not required in your private office. Need a mask? We have disposable ones available at our front desks or play BlackJack with me at the end of the month and sport your new OC one!
