June Newsletter
Hats off to the Class of 2020! Being a part of the Class of 2020 has not been easy. For students across the country, the chance to walk across a stage and accept their high school or college diploma and even their middle or elementary school promotion certificate has been taken away from them and their families due to the coronavirus pandemic. We want to offer a way to let these kids shine! Facebook Message us your student's name, photo, and academic year they just completed and we will post it on our social media page! Send Message
Our e-newsletter will now be featuring one of seven BGC San Dieguito teens (age 14-18) who have been nominated as a candidate for our Youth of the Year Award. These seven teens exemplify the positive impact that BGC SanDieguito has on our youth.

Helping Hands for our La Colonia Families
On Friday, May 15, over 45 families had contactless pick up of care packages, including meat, dairy, produce, non perishable items and toilet paper. Thanks to the efforts of volunteers and BGC San Dieguito staff at our Harper and La Colonia Clubhouses, each family received 3 full bags of groceries and 1 box of produce.

A big thank you to St. Elizabeth Seton Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) in Carlsbad who donated the 40 boxes of produce and to Harper Clubhouse Manager Bosque Leanio and Captive Church for hosting a food drive on May 9th for our families.

BGC SanDieguito staff member & Torrey Pines High School senior Sidney Mayo, creator and coordinator of this project since our initial closure, is thrilled at the amount of involvement this effort has attracted. “When we first started this, we were able to help just a handful of families with a small bag of non perishable items and a small grocery gift card. To now have 45 families drive through our parking lot and provide them ALL with things like produce boxes, homemade masks, milk and eggs is just amazing!”
