Haute House Studio August Happenings
The Haute House Studio word of the month is CONFIDENCE . For our team, we feel most CONFIDENT when we are organized. While organizational perfection often feels unattainable, we try to find some way to improve every month. For example, last month our team found an organization app for scheduling, staffing and task creation; we purchased 2020 planners; and grew our team of florists, planners and interns for busy weekends. It feels great!

If you are looking to plan ahead and get organized for the fall and beyond, here are two of our favorite paper planning calendars:

  1. Senn & Son's for Blue Sky at Target: Edina-based Kim Senn and Haute House Studio friend and vendor partner, created the most stylish planners for Target. They are available in-store with a limited selection online.
  2. Bullet Journaling: Bullet journals are all the rage right now, but there is a slight learning curve. To get started, join us at Haute House Studio for a "Bullet Journal Workshop" with HHS friend Laura Wilde (assistant manager at Paper Source in Edina) on September 8th. We are offering two workshops - one for adults and one for teens. Click here for more information and to sign-up. Also check out Laura's instagram for inspiration - @lauras_lettering.

Back to feeling organized...beyond planners, take these last few weeks of summer before back-to-school is truly here and go find ways to feel CONFIDENT, creative and organized for yourself. And if you are striving for more, how CONFIDENT would you feel if you tried out a few of these ideas ?

Happy (confident, organized) August!

Haute Entertaining

Haute House Garden Flower of the Month: Chrysanthemum
As we begin to look forward to fall, one flower we love to use in outdoor fall pots is mums (aka chrysanthemums). Daisy-like with a typically yellow center and a decorative pompom, mums symbolize optimism and joy. Here in Minneapolis they are particularly popular in the fall as they are quite hardy for outside. A few mum tips: Give them plenty of sun, water lightly and remove the deadheads for more growth. They come in a variety of colors and look great on their own or mixed into a fall pot with other plants and blooms.

Haute House Studio: A Birthday Party to Remember
Our team had the honor to help plan and decorate a multi-generational birthday party in July. It was such a special and meaningful event and we left feeling so blessed to be given opportunities like this to help people celebrate beautiful moments at birthday parties, weddings, events, showers and more. We were blown away our entire team's work. For more photos and event details, read our blog post here .
