Celebrating 10 for 10!
Expressing Gratitude

In celebration of our 10th year, we challenge you each month to do 10 of 'something'. Celebrating 10 (years) for 10 (of something).

For the month of March... we challenge you to write 10 notes of gratitude. Tell the special people in your life how lucky you are to have them in your life. A text, an email, or an old fashioned snail mail note. Say thank you for being a part of your world.

Talking to Kids about their Volunteer Experience

As parents we try to instill the value of philanthropy in our children at an early age. We know it is important to engage our kids in community service activities and volunteering. But what is next? The event is over… the volunteering is complete. Then what?

Reflection and discussion can be a very valuable part of the service experience. Talking to your child about “why” and the value of their participation is so important. Click here for ways to take it to the next level.  Start a conversation with your child about their giving experience.
Nonprofit Spotlight:

The Mattie Dixon Community Cupboard is a 501 C (3) non-profit food pantry located in Montgomery County. They offer food supplements to individuals and families who fall below the poverty level, most of whom do not have enough income to purchase ample food supplies. They currently help over 3,000 families per year with food, clothing & other services and the number is climbing.

The Giving Tree has delivered projects such as sock rolls, lunch bags and Peace & Smiles Boxes just to name a few. To date, we have delivered 1,815 gifts assembled by our Giving Tree youth to Mattie Dixon!
