Community College Baccalaureate Programs

With support from the ECMC Foundation, CCBA is leading a historic national effort to strengthen quality standards for community college baccalaureate (CCB) programs. This work will result in the first CCB Quality Framework, which aims to address the growing need for clear, evidence-based measures that ensure community colleges offer high-quality, relevant, and workforce-connected bachelor’s degrees. CCBA Launches Search for New CEO

CCBA has opened its search for Chief Executive Officer. The role functions on behalf of the CCBA Board of Directors to fulfill the association's mission, vision, and strategic plan. These activities constitute organizational management and leadership functions including:

  • Communications and Public Relations
  • Financial Management
  • Strategic Relationships

LBCC First Community College to Offer Bachelor’s in Library Science

Long Beach City College (LBCC) recently received official approval to offer the college’s first-ever bachelor’s degree, a Bachelor of Science in Library & Information Science. This groundbreaking program marks LBCC’s first baccalaureate offering, and the only Library & Information Science bachelor’s degree to be offered by any community college in the United States.
