Congratulations Class of 2022
We are so proud of each one of you and the legacies that you have left with us. We may not be blood-related, but you are all a part of the Raider Family and, like Ms. Marjie Blevins, you bleed blue and gold, it is in your DNA.  Everything that you have gone through has given you an identity that no one can rob you of.  Sonora High School, Raiders, Class of 2022, dream the impossible dream, hope for the unimaginable and the next time life gives you a challenge or that storm comes your way, turn it into an opportunity to say, “Behold the Blue and Gold and get out of my way!!”  Congratulations Class of 2022, we love you!!
Superintendent News
As the formal school year comes to a close and with the beginning of the Summer Session nearly upon us, we wanted to remind all staff, students, and families, that the District remains under the Governor's Public Health Order. This Order requires all staff members to either show proof of full vaccination status or to test on a weekly basis. The Order also extends into the Summer Session, so all staff who are working during the Summer Session or who are year-round staff, that are required to test weekly, will continue to do during the Summer Session.

The District also remains under AB86 which regulates that districts notify the local health jurisdictions of positive cases. The District works with site administration and the Orange County Health Care Agency (OCHCA) with notification and monitoring that current protocols are being met. While contract tracing is no longer required, known positive cases are reported to the OCHCA and any recommended action or protocols are followed. The District will continue to adhere to this practice during the Summer Session.

It is important to note that during the remainder of the school year and for the duration of the Summer Session. Exposed students are STRONGLY recommended to mask following the 10 days from their exposure date. It is also important to note that Exposed Staff is required to mask following the 10 days from their exposure date.

Thank you for your continued partnership. We hope everyone has a close to our school year, our senior families have wonderful celebrations, and for those taking summer school, we will see you soon!

Mental Health
The 2021/22 school year is off to a great start with students and staff members excited to see each other, reconnect with a more normal routine, and celebrate together at Sonora.

That being said, we also understand there continues to be an increased need for mental health services due to continued concerns over the COVID-19 pandemic, re-acclimating to the school environment, and other events happening throughout the country and world.

FJUHSD recognizes that these world dynamics may bring up uncomfortable emotions, questions, concerns, or directly impact their personal environments. If you or your student are experiencing difficulties affecting your wellness, please note that FJUHSD has partnered with Care Solace for this exact reason.

Care Solace is committed to helping our students, families, and staff connect with mental health services in the community. They are experts at navigating the mental health systems so that you can access support quicker and easier. Please consider contacting Care Solace if you or your loved ones are in need of support.

If your student’s performance is being impacted by these world dynamics, we have a document on our district website that outlines How To Access School-Based Mental Health Services at Sonora High. Please review the information and consider if this may be of benefit to you.

Lastly, our district's main webpage has a Mental Health tab for your reference. The tab has our Virtual Calming Room where anyone can have access to healthy coping skills and mental health resources for both students and parents.

As we continue to work with our students and families transitioning back to campus, we wanted to remind you that FJUHSD is committed to supporting our students and staff holistically.

Thank you for taking the time to read this important message, and for ensuring every member of the FJUHSD community feels supported and cared for during these unprecedented times.
