All treats, no tricks on Halloween
Walking around in the dark wearing unfamiliar, often ill-fitting clothing while purposely obstructing your vision with a mask...sounds like a combo sure to create chaos and possible injury, doesn't it? Yet each October 31st we take to the streets in search of a little spooky fun and frivolity.

Halloween injuries usually consist of simple bumps and bruises, but sprains and strains can occur. We've gathered up a few sources of advice for you, beginning with how to treat a sprained ankle, from our own Seaside blog.

What celebration of all things spooky would be complete without a Jack-O-Lantern? Even an inanimate vegetable can pose a danger! In our October 2020 newsletter, we discussed how to avoid hand injuries while carving your pumpkin.

The American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons offers Halloween Safety Tips on its Orthoinfo website. A Google search will turn up a similar list of tips from any number of reputable sources, like Safe Kids Worldwide. Their 30-second video PSA, below, should appeal to kids of all ages...

Seaside staff gets social....
Take away the scrubs, masks, and paper booties and caps and what do you have? A bevy of beautiful souls with kind hearts, winning smiles, and bubbly personalities! Our staff enjoyed an "after hours" gathering recently. Recognize anyone?
Dr. Bax is a "keeper"
"The nursing staff was wonderful to me and my caretaker. Dr. Bax was so kind and caring. I will be happy to recommend you!

I recommend more of the good doctors in the area join your staff but keep Dr. Bax!"
