AI Co-Pilot Used to Speed Up Cancer Diagnosis

An AI software has been introduced by a West Yorkshire NHS Trust in the UK to try and speed up diagnosis of conditions such as lung cancer and infections. According to experts, the software would act as a ‘co-pilot’ for doctors and assist in identifying up to 85 different findings in minutes. While doctors do not believe AI can replace them, the idea is to work together for the betterment of the patient. Yet questions remain. Read here.
