A Reflection from Rev. Becky+

Hello, lovelies!

A big thank you for Nan and Kim Bayless who hosted our first Fall Gathering! It really was marvelously fun, and people just kept telling me, “It's so good to see each other!” It warmed my heart and I’m so excited for what’s next for us at Good Shepherd.

If you didn’t make it Sunday, good news for you! We are having one THIS Sunday immediately following church, and another one NEXT Sunday. I would love to see you there, and, so would the rest of your church family.

We’ve also started up our Wednesday Noon Eucharist service, and it’s off to a great start. If you need a mid-week break from all the everything, we’re here for you.

Peace and love and see you soon,

Becky+

A note about pastoral care emergencies: If you are experiencing a pastoral emergency (e.g. someone you love or you yourself are in the hospital, or you’re experiencing some distressing news) please call my cell phone (570-259-0671) and leave a message if I don’t pick up right away. I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. If in doubt, please call – I can’t support you if I don’t know you need support!

Could you help?

Thanksgiving Boxes

Would you be willing to help make Thanksgiving a wonderful day for some of our neighbors in need? The Outreach Committee is seeking donations to build boxes. Each box will cost $50 to fill. Please make out a check to Church of the Good Shepherd with a note of Thanksgiving Box, or use an envelope in the pew to put cash in and note Thanksgiving Box, or donate using the button on our website. Every donation, regardless of the amount will help us get to our goal.

And we need actual boxes to put the fixings in. If you have some boxes, please drop them off to the Parish Hall.

Last Sunday we celebrated the Baptism of William Barkley, son of Margaret Arroyo and Carey Barkley, brother of James and grandson of Kate and Hector Arroyo.
