The sport works like a miniature drag race. Two or more competitors line up belt sanders along parallel tracks before receiving the signal to go. Whoever finishes first wins.
Obviously, there’s tremendous humor that goes into the race, but there’s also a healthy deal of creativity. Competitors show tremendous ingenuity in their creations. Belt sanders can provide some spectacular sights as well, with wood and dust flaring out from behind these micro-sized dragsters.

Last months member's meeting was full of face to face greetings. After brief introductions and a presentation from our Guest Speaker from Huber Engineering Wood. Participants switched tables as they expanded their network with meaningful connections.

Students from seven area high schools are building house number 7! This two year program in the Building Construction and HVAC programs allows students to learn hands on about the trades.
LRBRA members can help support the program by dropping in on Skilled Learning Days. Spend an hour or half day, send some helpers and work side by side with the kids or just drop in to check out the progress.
