PREPARING FOR WORSHIP

Vicar Sharai's Message

The scripture this week covers The Ten Commandments. Often they seem like a (boring) list of rules, and many remember having to memorize them as children. But these rules are part of a story! After God freed the Israelites from slavery in Egypt, He met with Moses on Mount Sinai and gave him rules for the people to live by. These rules were meant to be life-giving, so how do we find new life in these old laws? And what happens when we break them?

Loving God, You set us free by Your Grace. As we continue to journey with You in faith, help us to find new life in Your laws. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
