December 2020
"No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.
- Matthew 5:15
This year, perhaps more than ever, we have demonstrated that we are stronger together, especially when we build each other up! This is a season of profound joy, gratitude for the gift of our Lord, and light. Have you found your light this season?

As we celebrate the coming of Jesus and are reminded that He is the Light of the world, we note that we are called to share our light with others. What does that look like to you? How will you share your light with others?

Will you ....
  • drop off cookies for neighbors or friends to remind them that, even though you are physically apart, they are in your hearts?
  • shovel the walks of your elderly or compromised neighbors and friends?
  • help out those who are ill with COVID (or any other sickness) by offering to pick up groceries and medicines?
  • call or Zoom with those who are especially lonely this Christmas season? Your smiles, conversations, and laughter might be the medicine they need.
  • remember to pray, especially for others and with others?
  • make a donation to an organization that helps transform lives?

The possibilities to shine your light are endless! Even, quite literally, adding Christmas lights to your yard and home brings warmth and joy to others. Each of these honors the Lord and His light.

Here at Concordia University, we want you to know that you have brought us much light -- in the many ways you live out our mission. Thank you for your support, love, and prayers. YOU are our legacy. Let your light shine!

May you and your loved ones find and share your light this Christmas and always!
Thank you for your support of Living Grace
Living Grace was founded 25 years ago at Concordia University Wisconsin to provide Christian growth and fellowship opportunities for women and support them in their spiritual walk. Events are held each fall and spring. Those who attend and financially support Living Grace ensure its future, and for that we are grateful. Thank you!

If you would like to know about future Living Grace events, please contact Michelle Buss.
