Spread holiday cheer this year by supporting our Hope for the Holidays Initiative.
Grounded in impact, filled with love, and elevated by the community, this initiative is your chance to be a part of something greater this holiday season.
This year, you can choose where your money goes. Be a family's secret Santa by allowing us to purchase items on their holiday wishlist, ensure that Kwanzaa is magical by signing up to distribute hot meals or Kwanzaa/vision board kits, or donate to support Urban Triage in purchasing two crucial vans. Keep reading to learn more about the areas you can support this year.
The Gift of Transportation: Urban Triage is in dire need of two critical vans. By giving the gift of transportation this year, you are directly impacting the lives of those we serve. Implementing transportation into our services means that we will have the ability to elevate our services, provide transportation to clients and members of our workgroups, and deliver critical resources to the unhoused without the assistance of outside agencies.
Kwanzaa Kits: Kwanzaa is a celebration honoring Black Culture, Black People, and Black Stories. This year, we are asking for your support in ensuring that families in our community can enjoy the historically preserved magic of this holiday. Sign up today to provide Kwanzaa kits, meals, and vision boards to the community members we serve.
Sponsor a Family: Ready to be one of Santa's helpers? Sign up this year to provide a family with gifts straight from their wishlists. We're teaming up to ensure that families and children get the gifts they need or want this year. Spread some holiday cheer with Urban Triage, and be a silver lining after another historically difficult year.
We know that COVID-19 has impacted the holiday season, but together we can ensure that family members have smiles on their faces and have a magical holiday season. Thank you for supporting our community this year; we cannot wait to have another fantastic holiday season!

Y'all, we are really out here doing the work and doing it fast!
Since we started distributing funds to community members only four months ago, we have already distributed over 2.8 million dollars since October 4th, 2021.
Yes, that's right, when we say we're moving fast, we're moving FAST!
We know that our Rental Support program is successful because of our amazing staff members. We've employed a team of Phone Support Specialists to aid and manage our Rental Support Call Center. They keep our call center up and running and come to work every day with dedication to our mission and vision. The staff at Urban Triage always provide humanity-centered services and are equipped with the skills and knowledge to meet people where they are and get them the services they need.
The work of Rental Support is often challenging. Meeting clients where they are means that we are directly serving those who are already in traumatizing situations, such as facing eviction or being unable to pay security deposits for permanent housing. Our staff has done all the work from their heart.
We're so proud of them for their dedication to not only moving funds out the door to ensure folks have housing but also for their commitment to the mission and vision of Urban Triage.
If you would like to receive Rental Support or donate to sustain our humanity-centered services and call center, click below!
*UPDATE: Our Rental Support Call Center will be closed for the holidays on December 24th, and will reopen to regular business hours on January 3rd. Walk-ins on Thursday, December 23rd will be canceled for staff appreciation time.

We're almost to the last week of our Supporting Healthy Black Families (SHBF) Workgroup. This is our seventh cohort, and as you already know, we went global!
We're so proud of the participants in our cohort for displaying immense growth and dedication to transforming their lives. Even throughout the stress of the holiday season, the participants of our workgroup have shown up every day and modeled reliance, grace, and strength.
SHBF is grounded in transformation and is rooted in strength. By looking through an African-centered lens, we can assist Black people in unpacking trauma, increasing coping skills, and building an analysis of political and social systems. These principles make our work stand out; our workgroup is revolutionary and is the direct cause for the positive, permanent change that our participants experience. We're teaching and empowering Black people to stand in their power and reclaim it.
Check out this powerful testimony from a participant of our cohort.
"Since I joined this workgroup, my life has seriously changed. I have been putting off updating my resume for years. After joining SHBF, I finally did it, and I realize that I'm a beast – and I need to stop cutting myself short."
Are you ready to make a transformation in your life and step into your highest self? Are you willing to heal your inner child and put a stop to generational trauma? Join us in our 8th cohort by clicking below.

Our 5th Co-Conspirators workgroup is coming to a close, and we're so thankful for our new Co-Conspirators and their commitment to the work and mission of Urban Triage.
Co-Conspirators Workgroup is grounded in transformative learning. Our workgroup members are dedicated to confronting and dismantling white supremacy racism within themselves and the world around them.
Y'all probably already know that because of the work and dedication of our Co-Conspirators, we have been able to grow exponentially over the past two years. Almost 99% of our graduated Co-Conspirators become volunteers and long-time donors of Urban Triage. We would not be able to fulfill our vision if it wasn't for their commitment to bettering the world we live in.
Our Co-Conspirator workgroup isn't like your average anti-racism training provided by universities or the workplace. It requires that you look deep within yourself to identify where white supremacy shows itself in your life and in your world, and then it requires that you take action. The folks that stand on the frontlines with us understand that white supremacy directly affects and dehumanizes all of us, and that is why they have the tools, skills, and knowledge to be fully committed to life-long anti-racism work.
Are you ready to face generational trauma & bias for Black liberation? Sign up for our Co-Conspirators Workgroup, and we'll see you on the frontlines.

We're so excited and honored to announce that because of the relationships Urban Triage has made with landlords and property managers across the city, we have been able to place 60 families into permanent housing just in time for the holiday season.
This accomplishment is enormous, and we could not have done this work without the support of those who have partnered with us. Check out what one apartment manager had to say:
"I hope you understand what a positive difference you made in this family's life today-they just left with their keys to their new home! They are so appreciative of your quick response and so am I!!! We were joking that Christmas Miracles do happen...and this time YOU made the miracle happen!! I can't thank you enough-I just wish you could have seen the joy on her face today."
Our Unhoused Neighbors Initiative was designed to be the initial point of contact for those in our community experiencing homelessness. Our Outreach Specialists know to meet folks where they are and connect them with the resources they need most. By gaining the trust of those we serve, we provide immediate support and intervention.
The behind the scenes connections and resources that we are making in the City of Madison is the reason we're able to place families into permanent housing, provide gas and bus cards, deliver hot meals each week, and more.
