EXCITING NEWS!!! WELCOMING WANDA MADRY AND THEO & DAN PARKER
Stroke Of Faith Farms in Grifton, NC is so excited to welcome new members of our residential support team. Wanda Madry from Greenville, SC joins Dan and Theo Parker from Winterville, NC. Along with Executive Director Kathy Morris, the team will help provide ministry and educational oversight to young women and their families
.
Wanda is originally from Charleston, SC. She is the mother of two grown men, Corey & Jeffrey Spann. She has one grandaughter, Naimah Annette Spann. I met Wanda through a good friend, Christie Chandler, who volunteers at Stroke of Faith Farms with her family. Wanda & Christie were roommates at Miracle Hill, which

is a Christian renewal program for women. She brings us much love and grace with her hands-on experience that she received while there. Seeing how God has worked in her life has given her a heart to give back. Recently, Wanda had been praying and asking God, "What is my purpose?" And it was during this time that she and Christie were talking and Christie shared with Wanda

that we were looking for new house parents to be part of our residential team. Wanda said she knew in her heart that it was God's appointed time. She took time to respond, really seeking God to make sure. When she did, she knew that it was under His instructions that she was to leave everything and follow Him. That NOW was the time. Having faced dispare, rejection and failure, Wanda felt she could now teach these young women that they can do all things through Christ and that there is no condemnation in Christ Jesus. She wants to do all she can to improve the lives of these young ladies and help us to equip them for their future.

came to North Carolina with their children in 2001. During their time in New England, they had worked closely with the local crisis pregnancy care center as volunteers. Over the years they've hosted
young women experiencing crisis
pregnancies, as well as
a wide variety of people
who were going through difficult life seasons. They even had some goats
, rabbits, and sheep as pets when their children were young. Dan and Theo both sense God calling them to serve as part of the support team at Stroke Of Faith Farms. Dan said, "With our experiences through the years of walking alongside people in crisis and even our love for animals, it seems like He's prepared us for this new chapter in our lives,"
Theo added "We see so much potential for how God can use Stroke of Faith Farms for healing, growth and restoration. How can we not be a part of this"?
Dan is employed by Atlantic Coast Communications in Greenville, producing radio and television programs for several Christian ministries around the country. Theo is
part of the Congregational Ministries Team and is the coordinator of Spiritual
Formation at Covenant
Church in Winterville. They have three adult children, Brent, Andrew and Emily and a granddaughter, Charley,
with a second granddaughter
arriving soon.

All I can say is, "GO GOD!!! WHAT A BLESSING!!!! I AM SO THANKFUL!!!" What has been a tremendous trial and journey, where I would like to run away at least once a week, God has shown up over and over again, which has and continues to be nothing short of amazing. The call He puts on peoples' hearts at different times to be apart of our Stroke of Faith Farms family is like pieces of a puzzle He is putting all together. It truly is like the vision He gave me in bringing all of eastern NC together to be the hands and feet of Jesus to help families that are in crisis. It is amazing when I hear peoples' stories and how God has worked in their lives and how God is using this place to heal their hearts. He is amazing! And we are excited about this time!
Wanda came last Sunday night and Theo and Dan are moving in this weekend. God has brought me people to truly help me in areas where I am weak and they are strong and together, with our Board of Directors, make this place all God intended it to be. And how awesome it is that He put a team together where Wanda will be with the residents during the day and Theo and Dan will be with them at night. And I will be all over the place. This way we can all support one another in our efforts to help heal hearts and show them the love and grace that God has so graciously shown us. We are interviewing potential new residents next week and have many exciting ideas that we are praying about. We will keep you informed as God continues to move. Many thanks to all of you, as always, for your prayers and support.
God Bless,
Kathy Morris & the Stroke of Faith Farms Team
