How We Help Pets & People In Need
" They are organized to very efficiently get everybody checked in, processed, and picked up the same day. I was impressed on how smooth everything went. I definitely recommend and I definitely will be back! I was especially impressed with their incision for doing my cat spay, very small incision, healed perfectly with zero issues. "

Tips on Keeping Your Pets Safe in Winter Months
Exposure to the Cold
See a dog out in the cold without proper
shelter? Contact local law enforcement.
Dogs left in extreme temperatures,
especially without food or shelter, are at
risk of hypothermia, frostbite, and death.

Cats get cold too.
If your neighborhood plays host to a feral
cat community you can easily repurpose
foam cooler bins to create safe, insulated
shelters.

Paw Protection
Daily walks in the cold can harm your
dog’s paws. Keep them moisturized to
protect against salt and chemical agents.

Ditch the Bath
Reduce bathing frequency during cold spells. Drying can take too long and
washing too often can deplete essential oils to increase dry, flaky skin.
Check Before You Rev
Outdoor, stray and feral cats sometimes sleep under car hoods to stay warm.
The fan belt can injure or kill a cat when the motor starts.

Do’s and Don’ts
Don’t closely shave your dog in winter. Longer coats mean more warmth.
Do consider a coat or sweater for short haired breeds. Coverage
from the base of the tail to the belly provides extra warmth.
H.O.P.E. for Animals will be CLOSED for the Thanksgiving holiday on November 28th and 29th. Thank you for understanding and we hope you all have a PET-tastic thanksgiving!

Employee Spotlight: Emma
Emma is one of our surgery assistants at H.O.P.E. for Animals. She joined our team in March of this year and is currently studying for her VTNE test to become a registered veterinary tech!

Emma is known for her comical side in our surgery team, bringing laughs and smiles to everyone everyday! She excels not only at making everyone around her smile, but she does an amazing job handling the cats for surgery. Some may say she is the surgery team's cat whisperer. Emma is a wonderful team player, dedicated, hard working, and adds joy to the environment everyday.

When she is not at H.O.P.E. you can find her at the gym. Between her healthy diet and her perfection of the pistol squats, our team at H.O.P.E. gives her much kudos and she seems to inspire others to live a healthy active lifestyle. She also spends a lot of her time studying so that she can accomplish her goal of passing the VTNE test to become a registered veterinary technician!

Everyone at H.O.P.E. is thankful to have Emma on our team. Her dedication and sense of humor is very much appreciated. Thank you Emma!
