UF Health Jacksonville earns top score in 2022 Healthcare Equality Index
For a third consecutive time, UF Health Jacksonville has been recognized for its outstanding dedication to equitable treatment and inclusion of the LGBTQ+ community, earning a perfect score in the 2022 LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality Index.
Neilsen honored in Jacksonville Business Journal's 40 Under 40

Chad D. Neilsen, M.P.H, C.I.C., director of Accreditation and Infection Prevention at UF Health Jacksonville and courtesy assistant professor in the UF College of Medicine – Jacksonville, was recognized as a Jacksonville Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree. Neilsen has played an integral role in UF Health Jacksonville's response to COVID-19. He was also recognized for his leadership by the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology in 2019.

Olivia Frick, a business development associate at LS3P, was also named in the JBJ 40 Under 40 Class of 2022. Frick is a member of the UF Health Jacksonville Leadership Council. She has been a passionate advocate for UF Health Jacksonville and sponsored meals for health care heroes on our campus.
COVID-19 patient released after six months in hospital
Our staff cheered on Fabian Granado, who spent 164 days at UF Health Jacksonville, when he was discharged in February. After contracting COVID-19, Granado spent 109 days on an ECMO heart-lung machine and a ventilator and survived thanks to the high-quality care provided by our teams.
Coming soon: UF Health North Hospital Tower
On March 31, leaders broke ground on the new UF Health North hospital tower. The ceremony celebrated the construction of a second inpatient hospital tower that will meet the needs of many more residents in the community.
Opening in 2022: UF Health East
We are growing! Scheduled to open by the end of the year, UF Health East, a collaboration with Jax Spine & Pain Centers, is a multispecialty center in a new three-story medical facility.

New program helps with nursing shortage

UF Health Jacksonville has developed a solution to help with the nursing shortage, creating a program called the Academic Partnership Unit.

Designed for nurses pursuing an accelerated bachelor's degree, the program will help with nurse retention and recruitment.
Hotel makes gift to support veterans

Thank you to the Residence Inn Jacksonville Downtown for generously making a gift to support the UF Health Jacksonville Leon L. Haley Jr., M.D., Brain Wellness Program.
Students competing to design healing garden

UF College of Design, Construction and Planning students are embarking on a 10-week project to produce drawings and renderings for the new UF Health Jacksonville healing garden.

April 23: A Night for Heroes

On Saturday, April 23, A Night for Heroes will celebrate its 15th anniversary at TIAA Bank Field, home of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Ticket sales have been extended through Friday, April 15. Don't miss out on the celebration!
May 26: Community Health Needs Assessment

The Community Health Needs Assessment will be released to the community at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 26. The triennial report allows hospitals and organizations the opportunity to perform in-depth analysis on community needs.
