HIRING: Director of Finance & Administration

The Howard County Chamber is seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Administration (DFA). The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, an excellent communicator, collaborator, and a team player. The DFA plays a critical and fundamental role in the daily operations of the organization and works closely with all departments. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in both strategic and some hands-on capacities; will feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that requires simultaneous attention to different projects and responsibilities; and will enjoy working across departments and with colleagues with varying levels of financial knowledge/experience. This position reports to the President/CEO.

The Baltimore Metropolitan Women's Business Center is a highly visible small business resource hosted by the Division of Academic Outreach and Engagement at Morgan State University (MSU), the premier public urban research university in Maryland known for its excellence in teaching, intensive research, effective public service, and community engagement.

Join the Governor's Office of Small, Minority & Women Business Affairs on October 7 at 10:00am to learn more about the Center.
Small Business Credit Survey

The Federal Reserve’s 2022 Small Business Credit Survey is open for responses, and the Howard County Chamber is a partner on this effort. By taking the survey, you contribute to data that directly informs the Fed, federal government agencies, service providers, policymakers, and others—ultimately benefitting your business and other businesses like yours.

HorseSpirit Arts Gallery Celebrates 9 Years

On Saturday, October 1, HorseSpirit Arts Gallery celebrated their ninth anniversary in Savage Mill. The celebration was attended by County Executive Calvin Ball, Allan Kittleman, and Councilwoman Christiana Rigby.

On Thursdays, THB Wears Pink

Beginning October 1, THB will have Pink Bagel Boxes available in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month where a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit LifeBridge Health services around breast cancer and women's health. To show your support, you can place your order either online at eatTHB.com or by calling the store. Orders should be placed at least 72 hours ahead of time. Meanwhile, every Thursday, we will have Pink Bagels in the stores. They are here for a limited time so come by the THB of Columbia at Columbia Crossing to order your Pink Bagels for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Lorien Elkridge Fall Promotions

Lorien Health Services' Elkridge location is currently running promotions on their assisted living apartments, including respite care and on-site skilled nursing, occupational, physical, and speech therapy.
