Our building may be closed, but we have a lot going on virtually this summer! This year's Summer Reading theme is Imagine Your Story . All you need to do is READ and you are eligible to win prizes! Each week we'll be raffling off three, $10 gift cards from Jabberwocky Books, Henry Bear's Park, Long Hill Orchard, The Big Scoop at Long Hill Orchard, Lexie's, The West Newbury Pizza Company, or Nick's Place.
 
Our end of Summer Reading Grand Prizes include a razor scooter for children, a Fujifilm Instax Camera for teens, and a $100 gift card to Nunan's for adults. Get reading & win!

Get the Words Out!  
This is a 6 week class running from Tuesday, June 23 - July 28

Elizabeth Rose, MFA, will lead this virtual class designed for those who want to write, but are having trouble getting started. This class is designed to be a supportive and safe space for beginning writers to develop a writing routine and share their voices.

Composing the Poem: Our Lives Line by Line
This is a 6 week class running from Wednesday, July 8 - August 12

Via Zoom, Poet Zara Raab offers salient readings, as well as commentary and guidance for daring spirits who would like to try their hand at capturing a part of their lives in poetry and verse.

6 Word Story Contest
S​ix-word stories can be humorous, dramatic, suspenseful— whatever you want them to be!​ William Shatner tried his hand at it with this:​ "Failed SAT. Lost scholarship. Invented rocket." The ​Tri-Town Library Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is hosting their own 6 word story contest this summer, the theme being “life during quarantine.” Residents of Groveland, Merrimac & West Newbury who are in grades 6-12 (for Fall 2020) may submit one original 6 word story per student. There will be 2 winners and 2 runners up. Submissions are open from June 22 - July 13.

Giant animals, silly magic and a 6-foot balloon. Check out Jungle Jim's crazy balloon show.
