I wanted to take the opportunity in this first newsletter to introduce myself and share a little bit about my story and how I feel God has called me to serve as the Executive Director of Haven Center.
I was born and raised in Minneota, MN, and attended college at the University of Sioux Falls studying Business Administration. After college, I began a career in retail management with Walmart and was transferred to Watertown to be an Assistant Manager. During my time at Walmart, I met my husband, Tye. Prior to accepting the position as Executive Director of Haven Center, I was working for Fischer Rounds and Associates.
My husband and I live on a small acreage near Watertown. We enjoy spending time on our acreage with our chickens, rabbits, dogs, and cats. We are also active outdoor people and enjoy gardening, hunting, camping, fishing, and hiking. The most precious gifts that God has blessed us with are 2 children, their spouses, and 5 grandchildren.
I came to know Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior in high school and since then have found a passion for helping people find hope and healing that can only be found in Jesus Christ.
I enjoy being involved in area non-profits and ministries including the American Cancer Society Relay For Life, Hope in God Outreach, Divine Providence of South Dakota Jail Ministry Bible Study and Pulpit Supply Board, and Prairie Lakes Hospital Pastoral Care. My husband and I are active members of New Life Evangelical Free Church in Watertown.
I am honored to have the opportunity to serve as the Executive Director of Haven Center and to partner with this ministry to give those faced with an unplanned pregnancy the knowledge and resources necessary to make an informed decision guided by truth. My passion is not only to help equip women to choose life for their unborn babies, but also to see families experience hope and healing in their lives through Jesus Christ.
